Bhaktapur (meaning: city of devotees) is the smallest district and lies close to Kathmandu, the capital city in Central Nepal. This City is also known as "Khwopa" or "Bhadgaon" or "Ancient Newari Town" throughout the Kathmandu valley. Bhaktapur was an important city in the trade route between India and Tibet in the past, which made the city rich and prospers. It is the home of traditional art and architecture, historical monuments and craft works magnificent windows, pottery and weaving industries, beautiful temples and ponds, culture, religion, festivals, musical mystic and so on. It still hasn’t change so one can enjoy a rich flavour of culture and dishes along with Yela traditional drink and Ju JU Dhau unique traditional Curd. The main inhabitants of this city are Newar people and the male Newars wear a special Bhadgaule cap, which is similar to the National cap Dhaka Topi.
